OUR 4TH ANNUAL FLU CARNIVAL WILL BE ON SEPTEMBER 25TH FROM 9AM-4PM:
During the last week our practice has heard many concerns regarding the
Coronavirus (COVID19); we are in the process of reorganizing our
schedules to accomodate well child care throughout the day. This may mean
cancellations of non-essential visits and rescheduling of other visits. It
may also mean closure of offices as we navigate the day. All attempts will
be made to reach you if an appointment needs to be changed and
rescheduled. We want to take a moment to say thank you to all of our
families in our practice who have been understanding, flexible and
accommodatring as we juggle the schedule and respect the need for social

OUR PATIENTS WILL NOW HAVE A FAMILIAR LOCATION TO HAVE THEIR BLOOD
TESTS COLLECTED.

PediatriCare Associates providing care to newborns, children, teens and
young adults in Bergen, Morris, Essex, Sussex, Hudson, Warren, Union,
and Passaic Counties of New Jersey as well as surrounding areas of
Rockland, Orange, Westchester and Putnam Counties of New York.
We are proud to announce that lactation consultant Tara Daly RN,
BSN, IBCLC will be available to meet with new mothers and babies at our
Fairlawn, Woodland Park and Pompton Plains locations. Please call

We now have breast-feeding support classes as well as other
educational classes, including CPR and the Safe Sitter Program for our
patients and their families. Please call any office for times and
locations.
PediatriCare Associates has now transferred the inpatient care of
all of our pediatric patients that are admitted to the Pediatric Hospitalist
Service in each of the area hospitals. This will not affect our direct care
of newborns who are admitted to the main Nursery.
The Hospitalist Service will be admitting our patients, directing the
day-to-day care and providing all discharge information and instructions.
Nationally, this has been shown to improve the care of inpatients and
raise the level of satisfaction of parents. The use of the Hospitalist
Service allows for minute-to-minute decisions to be made while your child
is hospitalized. Moreover, the Pediatric Hospitalists are in the hospital
and available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The Pediatric Hospitalists are Board Certified pediatricians that
specialize in the care of hospitalized infants, children and young adults.
They will aid in the coordination of care regarding other specialists
during the hospitalization and will work closely with our practice to
provide the comprehensive and personalized care that you expect from
PediatriCare Associates. In fact, this is presently the model of inpatient
care that we follow with our hospitalized children at The Hackensack
University Medical Center and Chilton Medical Center.
It is important to note, however, that we will continue to visit all
hospitalized children during their stay in the hospital, as well as
receive daily updates and a complete summary upon discharge.
This is just one more step in our designation as a Pediatric-Centered
Medical Home, (PCMH): which is a way of organizing primary care that
emphasizes improved care coordination and communication to transform
primary care into "what patients and parents want it to be."
