PediatriCare Associates was founded by David M. Namerow, M.D., FAAP, in 1979. Dr. Namerow attended City College of New York, medical school at the University of Louisville, and completed his pediatric residency at Children's Hospital Medical Center of Cincinnati. Thereafter, he was a fellow in Adolescent Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Dr. Namerow was formerly Chief of Adolescent Medicine at St. Joseph's Hospital Medical Center in Paterson, N.J., and currently is Adjunct Assistant Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at New York Hospital Cornell Medical Center and Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at New York Medical College where Dr. Namerow serves as a Preceptor in their Center for Primary Care Education and Research.
His wife is a Professor of public health at Columbia University. The Namerows live in Ridgewood with their three daughters; Jordan, Evan and Zoe. Dr. Namerow was Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in 1977, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is also a member of the Society of Adolescent Medicine and the Ambulatory Pediatric Association. Dr. Namerow is a past Director of Pediatrics at The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood. For the past three years, Dr. Namerow has been named as one of the top pediatricians in the Metropolitan New York area by New York Magazine, the Castle Connelly Service, and most recently, New Jersey Magazine.
